We're on the road!

First day on the road -

We left Leland yesterday morning. I wasn't very happy about it 'cause I was having a lot of fun at the farm - out in the fields; jumping on ice; chasing birds; and just acting like a kid - it was great! Then, in the rain, we get in the motorhome and start driving, and driving, and driving, and driving - boring!

Finally, around lunchtime, Mom threw balls for me, while we were riding, plus she brought my bed up front - all that made things much better. It took us 5-1/2 hours to get to the Kings Bay Naval Air Station (in Saint Mary's, Georgia) RV park. It's really nice and there's even an 8-month old yellow Lab here! Her name is Ursa and we played a little bit. They don't have a doggie park, but there are lots of places to run and chase balls.

This morning, I was stuck in the house while Dad and Mom went to church and the PX and commissary, but after they got home, we went out so I could play. I saw a heron fishing on the lake and bunches and bunches of ducks. I wanted to swim, but since there are gators in the water, I decided against it. (OK, not really - Dad and Mom decided that - I woulda gone!)

Tomorrow we have a short ride to Cocoa Beach - maybe I'll get to see the ocean again. Bye!
